Full job description

Are you a skilled WordPress developer with experience in creating custom features, integrating plugins, and optimizing websites? Virtual City is looking for a part-time WordPress Developer to enhance our website, develop new features, and integrate third-party services like loyalty programs and booking systems.

If you have a passion for web development and gaming, we want you on our team!

What You’ll Do:

✅ Website Enhancement & Feature Development

  • Improve and optimize the Virtual City website for performance and usability.
  • Develop custom features and enhancements tailored to our gaming and entertainment services.
  • Ensure a smooth and responsive user experience across all devices.

✅ Plugin Integration & Customization

  • Integrate and customize WordPress plugins to enhance functionality.
  • Implement loyalty program integrations and third-party API connections.
  • Work with payment gateways, booking systems, and other essential tools.

✅ Maintenance & Optimization

  • Perform regular website updates, security checks, and bug fixes.
  • Optimize website speed, SEO, and overall performance.
  • Ensure the website is secure and follows best development practices.

✅ Collaboration & Problem-Solving

  • Work closely with the marketing and content teams to ensure seamless integration of new features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Provide innovative solutions to improve website functionality.

Who We’re Looking For:

✔ Proven experience as a WordPress Developer (2+ years preferred).
✔ Strong knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, and custom development.
✔ Experience in web development, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
✔ Understanding of APIs, third-party integrations, and database management.
✔ Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems, and develop creative solutions.
✔ Experience in gaming or entertainment websites is a plus!

Job Details:

  • Position: Part-Time
  • Salary: E£5,000 – E£6,000 per month
  • Location: Remotely

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: E£5,000.00 - E£6,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 24 per week
