Full job description

  • Identify potential suppliers and vendors for construction.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and agreements to optimize cost and quality.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and compliance with company standards.
  • Implement inventory management strategies to prevent shortages and overstocking, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier quotes to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
  • Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets, optimizing costs without compromising quality.
  • Create and manage purchase orders for agricultural supplies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procurement policies.
  • Coordinate and expedite order deliveries to meet production and planting schedules.
  • Ensure that purchased materials meet quality and safety standards, collaborating with quality control teams as needed.
  • Address any quality issues with suppliers and seek resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and price agreements.
  • Generate regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in all purchasing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Agriculture, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven 2-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in construction sector.
  • Having construction experience is a must.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Knowledge of agricultural supply chains and related products.
  • Understanding of quality assurance and inventory management practices.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of environmental and regulatory requirements in the agriculture sector is a plus.
