Procurement Supervisor

Job Title: Procurement Supervisor.
Reports to: Supply Chain Manager.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Supervisor to join our Supply Chain team. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient procurement operations, optimize material availability, and support cost-effective supply chain processes. This role involves managing the procurement team, developing action plans, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Operations:

• Ensure the efficiency and accuracy of procurement activities within the department.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify performance deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Support the definition of supply chain standards based on industry benchmarks.
• Oversee raw material supply processes and coordinate MRP operations.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet defined targets.
• Provide material availability reports and support internal material flow systems.
• Participate in inbound truck planning with the transport coordinator.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance shop floor performance.
• Support supplier management, including localization, consignment agreements, and delivery performance evaluation.
• Handle supplier bottleneck escalations and coordinate stock-taking processes.
• Assist in implementing new projects within the plant.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Manage and oversee the procurement team, including resource allocation and performance evaluation.
• Set objectives and monitor results to ensure the achievement of departmental goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage team members to contribute ideas.
• Coach and train employees to enhance their understanding of procurement standards and best practices.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and across departments.
• Maintain discipline and promote a positive work environment.

Process Improvement & Organization:

• Participate in departmental meetings and develop actionable strategies for improvement.
• Allocate time and resources efficiently to align with development plans.
• Implement process enhancements to optimize supply chain performance.
• Identify and resolve procurement-related challenges proactively.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory control, and supplier management.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
• Fluent in English.
