Job Title: Social Media Moderator (Remote – Canadian Hours)

About the Role:
We’re seeking a Social Media Moderator who not only monitors and manages community interactions but also contributes creatively to the content process. The ideal candidate is fluent in English, culturally attuned to the Western market, and up to date with the latest digital trends. This is a remote role with working hours aligned to Canadian time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and moderate comments, DMs, and user-generated content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms
  • Engage with audiences in a tone consistent with each brand’s voice
  • Escalate sensitive inquiries or issues to internal teams when needed
  • Track online sentiment and flag trends, feedback, or potential issues
  • Provide creative references and content ideas for the grids they’re assigned to (e.g., reels, carousels, visuals)
  • Collaborate with the content and design team to ensure relevant and engaging posts
  • Stay updated on current social media trends, viral content formats, and platform algorithm changes

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • 1–2 years experience in social media moderation or community management, ideally for Western brands
  • Solid understanding of North American social media culture and online trends
  • Creative mindset with the ability to suggest content ideas, references, and themes
  • Comfortable working remotely with flexibility, and fully available during Canadian hours
  • Familiarity with tools like Meta Business Suite, Creator Studio, and social media scheduling platforms
  • Ability to remain professional and solution-oriented in high-pressure or sensitive situations

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in an agency setting or managing multiple brand accounts
  • Bonus: Knowledge of French or Arabic
