Job Summary:

We are a dynamic and fast-growing company seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Accountant to join our virtual finance team. This role is ideal for professionals who are comfortable working independently, thrive in remote environments, and are eager to manage day-to-day accounting functions using modern cloud-based tools. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting and compliance efforts, and contributing to strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals in a timely manner.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP or relevant local accounting standards.
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Support audits, tax submissions, and other financial reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data.
• Leverage cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero).
• Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of all financial data.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification (preferred but not required).
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a remote or distributed team setting.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
