POSITION DESCRIPTION
Test Center Administrator in Prometric centers to lead and control the computer-based test center environment. The Test Center Administrator plays a critical role in the protection of our clients’ intellectual property and ensuring the integrity of tests delivered in Prometric centers. They must be vigilant, disciplined, and diligent in his/her test delivery duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Test Center Administrator (TCA) will mainly proctor computer-based test candidates. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide security at the testing facility and ensure all locks and security systems are properly used
- Take required security precautions when candidate arrives for testing
- Check IDs according to client specifications
- Perform biometric procedures, both during check-in & before and after breaks
- Launch exams
- Escort candidates into testing area and instruct examinees on use of computer
- Monitor candidates while they are taking their tests
- Administer exam breaks and verifying the returning examinee
- Communicate with Prometric’s Global Test Center Support to escalate technical and immediate issues
- File Center Problem Reports (CPRs in AP&C centers; Site Reports in IT center)
- Respond to temporary crises and difficult situations, e.g., technical malfunction
- Receive candidate telephone calls and provide appointment confirmations and directions to the test center
- Sign candidates out of testing room when testing is complete
- End the exam; collect note boards, scratch paper and exhibits, printing score reports
- Operate the computers systems used to check-in examinees and deliver tests
- Professionally interact with examinees
- Deal with potential cheating situations
- Order testing supplies
- Deliver testing accommodation exams
- Ability to deal with adverse situations
- Operate computer software and other test center equipment
- Become an expert with Prometric’s test administration software
- Support operations and technical personnel with the data communications
- Operate a video camera, VCR, digital camera, telephone system, and alarm system
- Other customer service, operational, administrative, or duties directed by the Test Center Manager
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree of any discipline
- Knowledge of basic PC operations and Windows, familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred
- Exposure to computer hardware and networks
- Arabic & English fluency is required
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
- Strong customer service-oriented
- Accountable, results oriented

TRAINING & CERTIFICATION
- Every newly hired TCA must undergo a period of 2 weeks orientation (unpaid). During that time, the new TCA will take Prometric’s online course as well as participate in on-the-job-training/observation. At the end, s/he must take and pass the certification exam in order to become a certified TCA.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Part time, during weekdays in Prometric centers (8 AM-7 PM)
- Schedules are set according to applicant availability and center need
