As an Account Manager supporting the Surgical Sales Cataract Team, you will be trusted to drive customer engagement and grow sales of cataract products and equipment at Giza, delivering tailored solutions with integrity and excellence in a dynamic healthcare environment.
In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and ophthalmic surgeons to ensure long-term engagement and trust.
  • Promote cataract consumables and IOLs, generate leads for surgical equipment, and support Business Strategy execution ethically and compliantly.
  • Coordinate territory management and administration, acting as the primary contact for accounts, managing inquiries, and implementing marketing strategies within the sales region.
  • Achieve annual sales targets by effectively managing the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Identify new opportunities, generate and manage leads using tools like CRM and Excel, and scout interest in surgical equipment.
  • Develop and implement action plans including product demos, marketing support, and successful product launches in target accounts.
  • Plan and execute account visits independently, according to customer segmentation and visit frequency plans, while ensuring compliance through timely reporting of complaints (e.g., Adverse Events or Quality Complaints) as per local SOPs.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
  • At least intermediate proficiency in English and native-level proficiency in Arabic
  • Strong motivation to sell complex technical products; knowledge of optics is an advantage
  • Experience in MedTech business is an advantage
  • Results-driven and customer-focused, with effective communication and solution-oriented mindset
  • Reliable and autonomous, with strong organizational skills and ability to manage time and meet deadlines
  • Based in or near Dokki or Giza
  • A valid driver’s license with proven driving experience
