Overall good company offering good pay to good employee's. Culture is'nt very inviting much at all, and of course with working with machines downtime.
Good pay and schedule and fast paced
Culture, downtime, costly insurance, a plethera of petty rules and people.
Rushed work and no consistency in correct way of doing things on shop floor few tools and arguing if asked to use when desperate then accused of stealing tools or not getting job done leaving area etc Not a lot to say really the agency they use are not much help and will say anything to keep the company happyNew staff don't stop long and they say its got worse every year with little good management and unlikely to ever get a permanent job They expect so much for minimum wage and job is not as listed very far from it most money is taken by the agency too who rarely pay correct hours then higher paid permanent staff want you to still do overtime to complete work for much less money than they get with no training or instructions
Canteen O.K and cheap when get time to use it but a long walk so have to eat walking
Its not for long term career
When I first started this job, I loved it. I had great co workers and really good managers. Everything has changed. The whole plant is a revolving door. The upper management are young and don't have a clue about how to run such a large company. The supervisors served in the military and treat people like soldiers. You can't even go the bathroom without being watched and timed. Asway o

Pay was good. Scheduling was awful and not flexible. Management acts like Gods gift to earth. Working in a factory is not a doctorates degree. Considered a smart factory with very dumb operators.
short breaks, long working hours, incompetent management
Could be an amazing place to work. Great benefits and many extras. Could easily be a 5 Star place to work, but; it is also No where close to that.
Management processes and lack of vision limit the Hopkins plant. A disregard for experience and knowledge. The management looks at the wrong data. It does not ever equate the human aspect The companies views the wrong metrics. It is a shame. Leadership does not take responsibility.
They hire through a temp agency with "intent" to hire. According to the temp agency's rep when I started, no one goes more than six months without being hired on. There are at least 20 people I know of that started before me who are still with the temp agency, and I've been there six months. We went from mandatory 10 hour days in the spring (5:00 - 3:30), to half the plant being laid off in the summer.
Free coffee on Mondays.
Hours shift from week to week. Zero job security.
