It’s a job

Some McDonald’s aren’t bad to work and hopefully you’ll get the right one! I had a good time at the one I worked at, the managers actually worked with you and helped out on the floor. They wanted you to move up.

nightsh*T

Doing the nightshift involves cleaning. But as it was a 24hr restaurant and the management felt it ok to run on minimal staff then complain when no cleaning was started 3am and breakfast was supposed to be ready by 5am all the time the orders keep coming.was promised management training after a year I still did not get itpros: good for quick money age dependentcons be prepared to be treated like the lowest of the low you don't matter as long as orders are done

Pros

You get sick of mcdonalds

Cons

Your just a number

Fast paced.

As one of the few adults I got put on closing schedules mostly, starting at 4/5 and finishing around 2am.Largely an enjoyable place to work, a few abusive customers but it is what it is. I enjoyed most of my time there but the management have so much on their plate that they lose sight of the individual. It’s a business at the end of the day & therefore all about the money.

Pros

Free lunch, flexible with working hours.

Cons

Closing shifts are exhausting.

A decent first job

Has really helped me become more confident in myself and new situations. The Managers are awful and send you on breaks very early, despite having a 8+ hour shift and you’re on your feet during the entire shift.Very very fast paced.

Pros

Free Lunch, Pay every 2 weeks

Cons

Unset hours

Challenging

Worked part time. They are willing to work around your schedule. Managers are generally approachable. They are willing to help you learn. They recognize and appreciative of extra effort by the employee.

Pros

Food discount. Free uniform

Awful management and working environment

Managers are rude to the younger population, not paid enough, they don’t listen to available hours and expect young people to work 40+ hours a week for a part time position.

Pros

Free Food

Cons

Unreasonable hours

Good people

Great job. Good help all the time. Sometimes challenging and hard. But overall okay. Maybe increase salary since always short staffed especially during night

Rude Managers

Managers were rude, breaks are non existant, even the co workers acted like they ran the place. If managers or Co workers didnt like you they would try to push you out.

Pros

11 an hour

Cons

No breaks, rude managers and coworkers.

Hit or miss

The job itself is pretty easy and it’s a good way to build a really valuable work ethic that can translate to other jobs. There’s a lot a flexibility for the scheduling. However, management is toxic, corporate is corrupt, and the relationship between customer and employee is poor. I also get that McDonalds can be run by teenagers, but the work environment gets very toxic at times. Also, they’re becoming severely understaffed and being overworked with very little appreciation and incentives isn’t worth the minimum wage in my opinion anymore.

Pros

Free lunches

Cons

Toxic work environments at times

It’s a great easy job to have, never had any issues working here

I've worked at Indeed for two years, and I am so grateful I was hired. This culture is so positive, caring, and so many people have gone out of their way to help me. The company truly cares about your career and where you want to go. The managers have so many conversations with you about what motivates you to help you achieve your goals. After every event, Q&A, all-hands, there's an option to leave feedback and the feedback is actually read and action is taken. As soon as COVID-19 was getting serious, Indeed was one of the first companies to implement a mandatory work-from-home policy. Our healthy and safety came first, and I felt so lucky our company had the opportunity to make that decision. Since the WFH policy, our CEO, COO, and SVP of HR have been INCREDIBLE with transparency, being here for us and communicating to us more than I've ever seen.I feel valued, heard, and my work means something when I am at Indeed. In terms of benefits, it's truly fantastic. We have unlimited PTO, and we are encouraged to take it. 401K match up to 3%. Great healthcare plan. Our NYC office is beautiful with fully stocked drinks and snacks. There's a gym and multiple terraces. We have company happy hours once a month and our holiday parties are OUTSTANDING. Every year the company gives everyone a really nice gift for the holidays. I really could go on for a long time. Definitely, definitely apply.

Decent job

McDonalds has come a long way with regards to paying people. Managers are worked hard and stressed a lot. So get in but don't stay too long or you will regret that choice.

nice at first but very unfair

there’s way too many managers, some managers tell you to do something one way , and another manager tells you something else. They’re not diverse at all. There’s definitely favoritism and you can see it and you should never show favoritism. Some managers don’t take into consideration peoples schedules. They have no protection for their workers, there shouldn’t be a reason someone is allowed to hit your worker and nothing be done about it , or someone comes into the area where the workers are and feels threatened.

Pros

Free lunch, Free take home food if lunch wasn’t provided

Cons

no discount off the clock, favoritism, no diversity

Job Culture

Fast paced work environment, just no actual work , and allot of delegation of responsibility to the understaff

This is supposed to be an in between job , instead they’re promoting groups of 17/15 yr olds to shift leads and managers so they get paid more ( so they stay) cause no one wants to work behind that counter.

Pros

Discount lunches

Good first job for teens not much else the pay is low and there isnt much room for advancements unless your there for years. It was a good way to get much needed experience.

Free lunches

Cons

Pay and no raises
