Cloud and Integration developer (Current Employee) - cairo egypt - January 19, 2020
Learning does not only happen through training. Relationships are among the most powerful ways for people to learn and grow, and this is part of our culture. In addition to working alongside talented colleagues, you will have many opportunities to learn through coaching and stretch assignment opportunities. You’ll be guided by feedback and support to accelerate your learning and maximize your knowledge. We also have a “reverse mentoring” program which allows us to share our knowledge and strengths across our multi-generation workforce.

Chief Electronic Technician (Current Employee) - Egypt - April 14, 2019
Maersk is good organization...I've worked here on different equipment never seen before such as not limited to vee door machine and vertical pipe chute and more and more....as i'm working here in my country so different standards of salaries between expat and national crew that was the most issue for me, rather than that I would continue working for Maersk forever.

5 years experience Accountant holding CMA
"Accountant Coordinator" (Former Employee) - Egypt - December 23, 2013
Working in accounting is very challenging. No two days are seldom the same, so you constantly have to continue to learn and adapt to new situations. Accountants are required to use a great deal of professional judgment to make appropriate decisions. Accountants are held to very high standards and have many outside entities reviewing their work to help ensure reliability.

Maersk is a proactive company and cares for its personell and I am happy working for them
Senior Electrican (Current Employee) - Gulf Of Suez - October 24, 2012
My day consists of managing my team of electricians and taking care of the maintenance schedule. I train assistant electricians and electricians up to a copetent level so they may be promoted to a higher level Apart fom that we take care of any breakdowns that might occur. I also maintain the electrical budget. I have good support from my managers who have a hands on approach to the job. My co-workers are from various parts of the world but are typically Egyptian. Sometimes it is difficult to communicate due to cultural and language barriers It is good to learn from different cultures and I get a sense of accomplishment when I have trained a person to acompetent level
Pros
mostly the hr department are very active within the company and have an open door policy
Cons
being away from home has its drawbacks
