About This Role

Bog all development and production headings, load trucks and maintain road works with the operations in a safe and efficient manner for underground mining.

Key Responsibilities

• Bog development headings and stockpiles to trucks.
• Keep trucks operating at full efficiency ensuring all ore, low grade, marginal and waste are kept separated.
• Bog out and clean, which includes inspecting for misfires including notification to shift supervisors, hosing down and scaling.
• Tram material from stockpiles and other bogging duties as required.
• Keep all roads in your working area tidy and free from potential hazards.
• Manual and tele-remote bogging of production stopes to stockpiles.
• Perform routine check-up of equipment, document walk-around pre-shift inspections before operations and monitor instrument gauges frequently.
• Clear sumps and Water Storage Facility at Underground.
• Complete end of shift tasks including status checks, data reporting and handover for the incoming shift.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by your shift supervisor

Education, Work Experience & Key Competencies

• Minimum of basic educational qualifications NVTI or its equivalent from a recognized institution
• A minimum of at five (5) years underground experience in Hard Rock mining in a mechanized mine operating Underground Haulage equipment and two (2) years as a Remote Bogger Operator.
• Possess Equipment Operator's certification from the Minerals Commission
• Experience with Sandvik Boggers (tele-remote bogging) in an underground mining industry.
• Advance knowledge and/or experience with the operation of Remote Boggers .
• Understanding of bucket count per stope and bogging per instructions
• Results oriented and meets deadlines.
• Solid safety history in an underground mining operation.
• Sound mechanical knowledge of Boggers and Trucks
• Demonstrate strong work ethics and be able to communicate courteously with co-workers.
• Possess a valid Ghanaian driving and operating licenses (C & E Classes) and can drive underground.
