Join Egypt’s First Micro-Insurance Startup!

AXA Egypt and Post for Investment (PFI) are proud to announce the launch of Egypt’s first micro-insurance company, born from a dynamic joint venture between AXA and the Egypt Post investment arm.


We’re seeking a dynamic IT Technical Manager to join our leadership team, reporting to the COO, and play a pivotal role in building the company’s innovative “phygital” insurance distribution and operations model.


About the Role: As IT Technical Manager, you will lead the selection, development, and rollout of agile IT systems designed to support lean, customer-centric operations. You’ll manage the full IT project lifecycle, from MVP implementation to ongoing delivery, collaborating closely with AXA, PFI, and Egypt Post teams to ensure scalable, cost-efficient technology solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage the technical IT landscape aligned with Sawa’s operating model
  • Lead the IT system selection process and manage vendor relationships
  • Establish and grow a skilled IT team supporting all front and back-office tech needs
  • Apply agile methodologies to develop and deploy digital, automated solutions
  • Act as a bridge between senior management, operations, and IT teams
  • Ensure thorough business analysis and documentation for all IT projects

Skills

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
  • 7+ years leading Agile IT delivery teams, with strong project management and business analysis expertise
  • Experience sourcing and implementing digital technologies, preferably in financial services (micro-insurance experience a plus)
  • Startup experience and stakeholder management skills highly valued
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, with excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Hands-on, practical, and results-driven mindset with strong influencing abilities
